Since Takumar name was abandoned Pentax had changed lineup of hoods too. The models and names became unified with 35mm and 645 systems.
So, Pentax 67 lens hoods come in round and square shapes. But there are some lenses that accept only dedicated bayonet mount hoods especially for the, and zooms. But these hoods are never sold separately from the lens.
All square hoods have clip-on mount and completely made of plastic. The names of these hoods begin from “PH-S” for “plastic hood – square”. This is only one type of square hoods for Pentax 67. When a gelatin filter frames or polarizing filter specially designed for Pentax 67 camera are attached to the lens, these hoods cannot be fitted.
For the some lenses the round shaped hoods were produced. They are available only with screw-in mount and may be made of metal or rubber: “MH-R” for “metal hood – round” and “RH-R” for “rubber hood – round”. The last one is collapsible.
Petal shaped hoods
There are only three petal shaped hoods were produced: one for the fast wide anglewhile two others for the and zooms. They have special bayonet mount fit only particular lens. All these hoods are round. And ss said above “PH-R” standing for “plastic hood – round”.
